GOD MOVES, SATAN COUNTER-MOVES. No one can deny the sudden wave of fervor for Charlie Kirk’s cause after his Sept. 10 assassination. Because in the next 48 hours ,Turning Point received 32,000 chapter applications. As I’ve said, that would suffice for a new chapter in every US high schools and college.
The UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, South Africa and Australia also held pro-Turning Point rallies. It must mean God was moving because Charlie answered so many questions directly from the Bible. True, he insisted on using logic too, often showing the matchless logic of the Bible. His deep Bible-based study of a wide range of current topics made him the best-informed debater I know.
But in the rush to take up his mantle, many less-informed and even dangerous contenders have arisen. Already I’ve written on how white supremacist Nick Fuentes has attracted many disaffected young men. Encouraged by him, victims of DEI policies have lashed back with antisemiticism, racism and misogyny.
And they are providing destructive answers to current issues that Charlies used to answer constructively.

As Paul said, “I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. And from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them” (Acts 20:29-30).
These influencers are filling up voids left by Charlie with an unwitting move of Satan against God’s move. So we must seek all the more to address the vital current issues on young men’s minds with God’s answers. Sinners, tax collectors & soldiers came to John the Baptist with questions ending with “What shall we do?” (Luke 3:9-14). Later, crowds gathered around Jesus and He gave answers to just about every conceivable question.
Like John the Baptist, let’s prepare the way for a move of God by listening to young people’s questions. By seeking God’s answers in His word and in prayer. And by humbly sharing them with young people we know so they can be ready with God’s answers. Who knows which one may turn out to be another Charlie Kirk? In this way we’ll be turning people away from Satan’s answers during the turning points of their lives. So don’t hide from this battle for their souls, but provide what they need to find God’s side.

Father God, You gave Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth. So He spoke with authority that the philosophers, scribes and wise men of His day did not have. And we need to hear His voice on many issues in our lives today. So we pray for You to make this voice heard. We ask for You to knock on every door of those seeking answers in this troubled time. And for those who hear Your voice and open the door, go inside and show them You are Lord.
You have answers for every question. For You Yourself are the answer, the beginning and the end and Giver of every good thing in between. Show them where they belong in the current move of God and where you are going. So they can follow You. Fill up their lives so they have no room left for Satan. For He came to destroy, but You came to give them abundant life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
