END-TIMES TOPICS. When His disciples spoke in admiration of the Temple, Jesus surprised them by prophesying its destruction. In response they said, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Mt. 24:2)

In the remainder of Matthew 24, Jesus gives a timeline of end-times events. It fits the Book of Revelation timeline. Therefore, in End-Times Guide we follow this combined timeline.

As a long-time student of the end times I, George Ferrar, have found hundreds of end-times Scriptures to put on this timeline. The more the puzzle pieces fit together, the clearer our picture of the end times becomes.

An Overview

On the Home page, fifteen major end-time events are located in three overall time frames. This overview makes them easier to understand. But we must not underestimate the tremendous impact of each event.

Consider just the first three major events. During the 20th century, the miracle of the massive return of Jews to the Holy Land—in the midst of their Muslim adversaries–stirred renewed fascination with the end times.

More miracles in the end times

Another miracle will occur for the rebuilding of the Jewish temple where the Muslim Dome of the Rock now stands. But the temple will stand there when the two witnesses are prophesying (Rev. 11:1-6). Also, the Antichrist will “take[s] his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God” (2 Thess. 2:4).

In still another miracle, great harvests of Gentiles will provoke the Jews to jealousy. Moreover, the Jews too will increasingly turn to Christ like never before until the very end of the age (Rom. 11:11-26).

False Christs, Antichrist, then the return of Jesus Christ

More earth-shaking events will occur. The opening of the seven seals will release world war, famine, and death to one-fourth of the earth. During those times, false Christs will appear as saviors from these disasters. But the wars will end when the whole world will follow after the Antichrist, saying, “…who is able to wage war with him?”

The Antichrist will start the Great Tribulation against Christians. But the trumpet plagues and wrath of God will repeatedly fall on him and his world kingdom. Finally, his chief city, Babylon, will collapse and burn.

The Millennium, then New Heaven and New Earth

Then he will gather his forces at Armageddon to war against the Second Coming. But Christ and His glorified saints will obliterate all their enemies. Afterwards, Christ will rule with them for a thousand years. One last rebellion will reach Jerusalem, but fire from heaven will devour it. And after the last judgment, God’s people will live forever with Him in a new heaven and new earth.
