HAITIAN GANGS INVADE CHURCH. On Aug. 23, about 150 heavily armed gang members attacked a mountain town called Kenscoff. They killed 13 who fled and pursued 50 who sought shelter in the Ark of the New Covenant Church. There they killed 22 others in the church courtyard and 12 more behind the church.
Moreover, they kidnapped more than 50 locals. It was one of the biggest mass kidnappings even during this reign of gang terror and frequent abductions. After negotiations with UNICEF, one gang leader released six children and seven women.

But friends and family of the dead have organized protests, blaming the attack on negligent police. Haiti’s National Police stated that they are investigating. Tragically, in the first six months of 2026, Haiti has averaged 17 killed per day—amounting to 3,050 deaths.
Haiti plans to hold its first national election since 2016, when Jovenal Moises became president. Subsequently, he was assassinated in 2021 at his home near Port-au-Prince. Pray that God, who makes wars cease to the ends of the earth, provides a peace that the world cannot give.

- Bring a shield around His churches in Haiti. Show His people how to follow His increasingly narrow path to life. And how to lead others in His paths of righteousness.
- Raise up righteous leaders who know how to overcome all the power of the enemy with Him. Give them grace to prevail in the upcoming elections. And allow those elections to take place with a peace that passes understanding.
- Lead Haitians through this time of mourning to a time of blessing those who have mourned. Disarm the gangs and let His enemies be scattered. Win back prodigals from the gangs and show them the way back to the Father. For Jesus is the only way, the only truth and the only life that lasts. In Jesus’ name, amen.
