TUCKER VS MAGA. Tucker Carlson will disagree. But I have come to the conclusion that he is hurting the same MAGA he promotes so vigorously. Because he insists on his freedom to interview abhorrent guests without questioning them.
When we exercise our freedom, we should learn from the results of our exercise. Tucker isn’t learning from the harm he’s doing. Giving Nick Fuentes a platform to say what he wants defeats Tucker’s purpose of making America great. Because Fuentes is making America worse the more he speaks. We can’t stop him from speaking. But we can stop letting him use our platforms to ruin the MAGA movement.
In effect Tucker says criticizing him would amount to an unchristian denial of his right to speak freely. But he’s not using his freedom responsibly. And 2 Jn. 9-11 says not to welcome anyone who brings an anti-Christian message to you & your audience. “Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.”
Fuentes wants to turn the GOP into “a truly reactionary party.” So what does he mean by reactionary? Reverting to white supremacist stereotypes we thought had died. “Jews are running society, women need to shut the f___ up. Blacks need to be imprisoned for the most part, and we would live in paradise; it’s that simple.” Simple to a reckless simpleton who won’t learn to speak respectfully and responsibly.

Following Fuentes, Carlson now says that Trump and the US are favoring Jews far too much. He accuses Jews of genocide against Gazans. But Israel does more to warn civilians and minimize their casualties than any country at war in history.
Hamas began the war by committing genocide against Jews—an obsession it has never renounced. It could have ended the war at any time by ending its hostilities. Now that other nations have forced it to, we should bless Israel by doing good to it. Also because God commands it.
So remember what God said to Abraham and his descendants. “I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Gen. 12:3). Now Muslim nations who have joined the Abraham Accords are experiencing those blessings.
But Tucker now says the church has replaced Israel and made it like any other nation. Doesn’t Tucker’s Bible include the Old Testament, full of covenants and promises to Israel? And doesn’t it include Romans 11:17-27, which calls Israel the trunk and Gentile believers the branches?
We should prune the MAGA branches that prove unfruitful before they sow bad seeds and multiply more. Because of platforms like Tucker’s, Fuentes now has a big following. And it’s made Tucker’s following bigger. That makes their responsibilities to their followers bigger too. Will they help make American great again? Or bring out the worst in men, and end in a curse? Lord, turn the hearts of fathers to children to reconcile them, instead of dividing the US further.
