BORDER CRISIS PRAYERS. In the 12-month period ending in July 2022, 131,330 children crossed the southern US border. And total immigrants in 2022 amounted to about 2,100,000. These stats provided by Intercessors for America (IFA) show only the tip of the iceberg. Now we can expect far, far more with Title 42 no longer holding illegal immigration back.

Children quickly become pawns in the criminal immigration game. Rape is so common that coyotes provide birth control to the girls they carry across. Criminals kidnap or purchase children and create a fake family to gain entry. After making it across, they rent the same children back to create a new “family in distress.” At times they will even throw a child into the Rio Grande. In this way they force their pursuers to rescue the child instead of capturing them. The children who make it across often get snared into human trafficking rings.

Watchmen for gaps in the wall

This high-stakes game often involves drugs. Since last March, Texas authorities have seized enough fentanyl—335.5 doses—to kill all US citizens. And Mexican cartels and other drug gangs are claiming territory and allegiances north of the border. The Biden administration has left gaping holes in the border wall and largely tied the border agents’ hands.
