MILEI REBUKES WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM (WEF). World movers & shakers met at Davos last week and got an earful from Argentine President Javier Milei. Mainly known as a conservative political provocateur, he has also gained fame as an expert economist. And true to form, he rebuked the WEF for neglecting the basic economics of our time.

Argentina, he argued, has greatly suffered from the collectivist model favored by most WEF globalists. The free-market model made Argentina a world power by the end of the 1800s. But over the past 100 years it embraced a socialist-style collectivism. “Our citizens became systematically impoverished and we dropped to spot number 140 globally.”

Milei campaigned to make Argentina great again by returning to free enterprise capitalism. He called it “the only morally desirable system.” Why? Because countries with free enterprise are 12 times richer than economically repressed countries.

“We should remember that by the year 1800 about 95% of the world’s population lived in extreme poverty. And that figure dropped to 5% by the year 2020 prior to the pandemic,” due to the prevalence of free markets. But socialism “has failed in all countries where it’s been tried.” It “creates a downward spiral of regulations until we’re all poorer.”

From class struggles to false identity struggles

Repeated proofs of this led socialists to change their agenda from class struggle to race & gender identity struggles. Despite the fact that free-market capitalists like Milei have largely held “that all humans are created equal.” And that “we all have the same unalienable rights granted by the Creator including life, freedom and ownership.”

Such gender identity conflicts began with “the ridiculous and unnatural fight between man and woman… These harmful ideas have taken a strong hold in our society.” Milei says to make the “Western world” great again, we must “get back on the path of economic freedom and limited government.”

Already we see populist movements against socialist globalism growing in other Western countries. They include Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany and Slovakia, as well as Poland and Hungary. Will we see the same in Latin America? Let’s pray for a great flourishing of freedom globally that will frustrate Antichrist-style oppressors.
