Homeschooling Replaces Classrooms as 2nd Covid Wave Spreads

homeschooling replaces classroomsHOMESCHOOLING REPLACES CLASSROOMS. As schools struggle over when to reopen, many parents are looking at alternatives. With schools in general becoming more secular and anti-Christian, better choices should emerge.

In the US, a OnePoll survey shows that 82% of parents are considering homeschooling this fall. Half of those parents are thinking of homeschooling during the whole 2020-2021 school year. And 25% of all parents say they will not allow their children in a classroom while Covid-19 persists.

The vast majority fear the rick of infection. Moreover, nearly half say they are trying to teach their children the right Covid-19-related hygiene. But 60% still don’t think their kids will wash their hands properly at school.

Also, 3 in 4 parents expect to spend $147 more per child for education supplies. The same believe it would take an extra 40 minutes per morning to get their kids ready for the classroom. Most would demand smaller classrooms, regular temperature checks, and plenty of hand sanitizer.

This underlines the fact that God gives parents the primary task of educating their children. Especially of shaping their hearts and minds. Otherwise, they risk sacrificing their children’s hearts and minds to ungodly secular agendas.

“Fix these words of Mine in your hearts and minds”

“Fix these words of Mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many… (Deut. 11:18-28).

A plethora of new and old online resources await parents who seek guidance in homeschooling. But they should begin with the Word of God. If parents fix the Word on their hearts and minds and doors, and let nothing contrary inside, they will do well.

For God promises to “restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse” (Mal 4:6).

God says this will happen “before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord” (Mal. 4:5). If we let God restore hearts of parents and children, He will bring a blessing and not a curse on them. (See Dt. 11:26-28).

Those who receive the blessing will have grace to extend the blessing to others. Others in this time of birth pangs will still have opportunity to see curses turned to blessings. And so will their children!
