WESTERN CIVILIZATION DECLINE. The context in which the Christian faith grew faster than in any other place is slowly collapsing. First, let’s define our terms. Civilization organizes societies into labor divisions and institutions for government, religion and economy. The West as a civilization began in 7^th century Greece and expanded into the Greek and Roman empires. The Jewish religion dispersed within it and the Christian religion overcame it.

Christian majority nations in Europe expanded that civilization to all other continents except Antarctica. But we call Westernized only those places where Western-style governments and economies took hold. They primarily include Europe, US, Canada and Eastern nations like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan & Australia. From time to time, we can call some other nations in Asia, Africa and Latin America Westernized. But from time to time, they slip into non-Western styles of government and economy.

Westernized governments work according to basic constitutional rights and freedoms. And western economies work according to a capitalistic free market. So are either of those declining?

Yes—from time to time in even the primary Western nations.

Western values came from the Judeo-Christian heritage, and when we remove religion from civilization and make it strictly secular, we lose its moral foundation. The more secular it becomes, the more it becomes anti-religious and antichrist. Losing God, it loses morality.

Christianity used to thrive within free governments and free markets. But the more restrictions they put on freedom of religion, the more restrictions came to all other freedoms. So that means less freedom of speech, assembly and association. Just look at what many US college campuses are still doing stop to new Turning Point chapters. And what European nations are doing to stop popular political parties on the right.

Western civilization used to protect Christianity and other religions. Now it increasingly gives special rights to anti-Christian groups like SPLC to restrict Christian groups. Great moves of God now happen in non- or anti-Western nations like Iran & sub-Saharan African nations. Because they taste the freedom for which Christ has set us free. Pray that the truly Free World will expand with a billion-soul harvest before the Antichrist prevails. For then we will have only a few years before His government and civilization begins and will have no end.

PRAY WITH US about western civilization decline:

Father God, we thank You for Jesus, the Desire of the Nations. For His government and peace will have no end. We thank You that He also began great works on the cross and at Pentecost that have had no end. But we ask that You forgive us for often misrepresenting Him. For many Western nations have turned away from Him and then against Him. They know not what they are doing in rejecting the only foundation on which they can stand.

So release a great move to turn those nations back to You. Let there be a great harvest for a billion-plus souls to find You and know who You really are. Turn the hearts of children to the Father as well as to their fathers, and the fathers to them. And let this age end by summing up all things in Christ, bringing to completion what You began.
