TOP 8 TERRORIST CRIME GROUPS. Why did it take so long to label these crime groups as terrorists? Apparently the US has too long focused mostly on groups that use violence for political purposes. But groups that use violence to make money like drug cartels can terrorize just as cruelly. In fact, some cartels are using Islamic terrorist tactics of beheading and hanging heads over highways.

Now the new “terrorist” designation allows the US military to target these groups outside the US. First, take a look at the rogue’s gallery of Mexican cartels, in order of the menace they present. They include the Sinaloa, Jalisco New Generation, Gulf & Northeast, and Michoacana & United.

Along the US/Mexico border, Sinaloa controls the western portion. The Gulf & Northeast Cartels control the eastern portion. Jalisco New Generation as well as the Michoacana & United Cartels operate in west-central Mexico.

Sinaloa—once led by El Chapo—produces fentanyl from Chinese chemicals and smuggles it into the US. Jalisco traffics fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine in all 50 US states. Gulf/Northeast controls the most direct route for trafficking drugs and humans from Latin America. And Michoacana/United traffics drugs & avocados, using intimidating threats and extortion along the way.

Beyond Mexico

Outside of Mexico, Tren de Aragua emerged from a Venezuelan prison and started with drug smuggling. But it branched out migrant smuggling, human trafficking, forced labor and sexual exploitation. Its tactics of decapitations and burying victims alive have spread panic in both South and North America.

MS-13 started among Salvadoreans in Los Angeles. Deported members developed a brutal massive gang in El Salvador. Eventually President Nayib arrested and/or imprisoned 80,000 to restore peace to El Salvador. Let’s pray for peace to replace terror in both of the Americas—at as little human cost as possible.
