EQUALITY LEGAL CODE WORD. Joe Biden has pledged to sign the pro- LGBT Equality Act within 100 days if he wins the US presidency. The House has already passed the Equality Act, and the Senate would have to pass it too.
Similarly, in Belize the extremely pro-LGBT Equal Opportunities Act did not pass the legislature. Prime Minister Dean Barrow cited widespread church opposition as the reason. But already LGBT advocates vow to push the bill out again within 100 days after the Nov. 11 election.
“Equality” sounds good, and equal rights are a worthy cause. But the Equality Act would actually:
1. take away rights of women to their own bathrooms. It would give biological males the right to enter if they claim to be females. Obviously, that opens the door to sexual predators.
2. take away rights of women to their own sports competitions. It would give biological males the right to compete with them if they claim to be females.
Not surprisingly, biological males have been winning such competitions. Over 60% of likely voters oppose this policy.
3. take away rights of Christian groups to exempt themselves from the Equality Act. The Act would violate the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Christian leaders such as Franklin Graham say the Equality Act repeatedly threatens religious liberty and the rights of the unborn.
4′ take away rights of employers to fire employees if they claim to have changed their sex. For example, the Supreme Court has already ruled that a Christian Michigan funeral home owner cannot fire a male employee who begins to self- identify and dress like a woman.
So don’t wonder if a transvestite greets everyone at the next funeral you attend. Or if the dead rises up to protest against such a sacrilege.
More doublespeak
Not only would the Equality Act change the definition of “sex” to include “sexual orientation.” “Sex” would include “pregnancy, childhood, or a related medical condition.” And “a related medical condition” would include abortion.
As Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, concludes, ““any American who doesn’t want to fund, offer, perform, or participate in abortion on demand will have no real choice.”
“Pro-choice” policies take away choices from those who object to abortion, as well as from the aborted child. In the same way, “equality” policies take away rights from those who object to predators and the LGBT agenda.
Such Orwellian doublespeak is used to impose tyranny in the name of human rights and equality. The Antichrist will rise using similar deceit.
“By smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action” (Dan. 11:32-33). Now is the time not only to vote, but to display strength, while we still have the right to take action.
