Yes. But not for those who have taken the mark of the Antichrist after this warning:
“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on
his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. “And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” (Rev. 14:9-11).
Some will neither receive Christ nor the mark of the Antichrist. Joel calls them survivors. These survivors will be left behind at the Rapture. But they will escape the clutches of the Antichrist. When Joel speaks of “the great and awesome day of the Lord” (Joel 2:31), he adds:
“And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.” (Joel 2:32)
Many survivors who don’t call on the name of the Lord will still grieve when they miss the Rapture. For example, Jews who never took the mark will realize that they have neglected their true Messiah.
“They will look on Me whom they have pierced”
“I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. (Zech 12:10-11)
Many who took the mark will gather at Armageddon for war against the Second Coming of Christ. But they will all be completely destroyed. From that war Christ will return victorious to Jerusalem. Many un-marked survivors from the nations will see His glory there. Then Christ will send them to gather from the nations more survivors to come to Him in Jerusalem.
“…the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations… Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations … to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the Lord. (Isa 66:18-20)
Jesus returns to Jerusalem
Many Jews who grieved over missing their Messiah at the Rapture will receive Him as Lord when He returns to Jerusalem (Joel 2:32 above). At that time He will totally cleanse them from all their past iniquities. He will also restore the ruined Promised Land to a state much like the garden of Eden.
“On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of being a desolation in the sight of everyone who passes by. They will say, ‘This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste, desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’ “Then the nations that are left round about you will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted that which was desolate; I, the Lord, have spoken and will do it.” (Ezek. 36:33-36)
The restoration of all things
More survivors from “the nations that are left round about you” will find out what great things the Lord has done. It will be “the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time” (Acts 3:21). During this blessed Millennial period survivors will have many more opportunities to receive Christ as Lord.
At the end of the Millennium, those who refuse to receive Christ will mount one more brief, final and futile rebellion in the Gog and Magog war (Rev. 20:7-10). Then the Last Judgment will take place (Rev. 20:11-15)
In short, after the Rapture, the unmarked survivors—and their offspring—will have 1000 more years to receive Christ as Lord. So yes, there is great hope after the Rapture, by the great grace of God! But don’t take the mark of the Antichrist!
