God's Green New Deal vs Sanders-AOC Green New Deal -

Gods green new deal GOD’S GREEN NEW DEAL. Many features of the Green New Deal resemble what God plans for the Millennium. But God’s plan can only take place after Christ returns to destroy the Antichrist’s empire. At that time, He will send Satan into the abyss, and begin ruling the earth that He created for us.

But the Green New Deal attempts to change the face of the earth for the better without Christ.

The first actual legislation for the Green New Deal emerged on November 14. On that day Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced a new bill. Specifically, it would retrofit all US public housing with energy-efficient components.

This plan would begin to implement the initial “Green New Deal” resolution. That included “upgrading all existing buildings in the United States”. In opposition, critics called the plan impractical. Think tanks estimated this “energy-efficient” project’s cost as 1.6 trillion or more. Not to mention Sanders’ $16 trillion vision. That would replace fossil-fuel energy with solar, wind, hydropower and geothermal energy.

The Sanders-AOC bill would also mandate community gardens, organic grocery stores and onsite child care. Yet we have seen such totalitarian plans for a public housing paradise fail in the USSR and Venezuela. Instead they turned formerly prosperous places into economic wastelands.

Christ will return to an earth which has been turned into a wasteland by the Antichrist’s totalitarian empire. At that time Christ will begin to turn it into paradise again. But only after He has dealt with the sin that devastated it.

Restoring Eden

“Thus says the Lord God, ‘On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of being a desolation in the sight of everyone who passes by. They will say, “This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste, desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.” Then the nations that are left round about you will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted that which was desolate; I, the Lord, have spoken and will do it’” (Ezek. 36:33-36).

Instead of community gardens, “every one of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and under his fig tree”(Zech. 3:10). And everyone will eat and share with others the abundant fruit of his own labor.

In the Millennium, people will have no need for institutionalized child care or elderly care. For both young and old will pass their days in safety and pleasure in the streets.

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his staff in his hand because of age. ‘And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets” (Zech. 8:4-5).

Blessings on young and old, man and beast

Children will also play with animals without any fear. And animals will not need animal rights. In the Millennium, their enmity against one another, and against man, will disappear.

“…the wolf will dwell with the lamb,

The leopard will lie down with the young goat,

And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;

And a little boy will lead them.

Also the cow and the bear will graze,

Their young will lie down together,

And the lion will eat straw like the ox.

The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,

And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den.

They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,

For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord

As the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:6-9).

Only the knowledge of the Lord will change the face of the earth for the better. Without the knowledge of the Lord, global plans such as the Green New Deal will attempt to change the face of the earth in the sinful image of man.

Such plans will end up bringing more fallenness to a fallen world. We have seen this especially in ambitious communist programs like the Stalin’s forced collectivization of farms and Mao’s Great Leap Forward. Both programs ended in dire poverty and mass starvation.

So did North Korea’s Songun policy of militarizing its economy and isolating it from international competition. Green New Dealers should take warning from these costly and disastrous policies.

The same goes for other radical socialistic policies that US presidential candidates are promoting: free college, Medicare for all, guaranteed employment and income, and open borders for all immigrants coming to take advantage of such benefits.
