God’s Kingdom Guarantees or Socialist Guarantees?

GOD’S KINGDOM GUARANTEES OR SOCIALIST GUARANTEES? How has the socialist wing of the Democratic Party risen when socialism has been so widely discredited? Because younger people have grown up not seeing its effects.

The Victims of Communism Foundation recently released its annual survey. It which shows that 40% of Americans have a “favorable” view of socialism. That 40% is skewed by the 49% of Gen Z and 47% of millennials who see socialism favorably.

And why not? Socialism guarantees free higher education for all, employment for all, a base income level for all, and healthcare for all. Including for all comers who cross borders to gain such guarantees.

God planned to provide all these benefits when He created the earth for us. But man decided to gain them in his own way, without God. As a result, he fell into deeper and deeper sin, and the whole world fell with him.

Love covers over sin

But “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

This eternal life includes the entire 1000 years of God’s kingdom on earth. The Millennium will begin when Christ returns to rule the earth with us. He will restore the earth to paradise with all His original benefits guaranteed.

“For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord

As the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:9).

The knowledge of the Lord will so fill the earth that all levels of education will cost nothing. Students will have no debts to repay. People will need only to seek God and they will find His ways.

“And many peoples will come and say,

‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

To the house of the God of Jacob;

That He may teach us concerning His ways

And that we may walk in His paths.’

For the law will go forth from Zion

And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Isa. 2:3).

Who will end wars?

Furthermore, all violence will end. Peoples and nations will take their disputes to the Lord instead of going to war.

“He will judge between the nations,

And will render decisions for many peoples;

And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.

Nation will not lift up sword against nation,

And never again will they learn war” (Isa. 2:4).

Openly gay Biden “transition team” member Pete Buttigieg is a socialist-leaning millennial. When he ran for president, he said he wanted to work toward a world without weapons. He claimed to base this vision on the Christian faith. But he did not propose any plan. He just vaguely suggested that “we can take steps that move us closer to that reality.”

The truth is, we cannot have peace where Christ is not Lord. For He alone is the “Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6). And until He comes, Christ Himself said, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars” (Mt. 24:4).

Utopian socialists envisioned a classless cooperative society in which people held all property in common. Therefore, wars over property would become unnecessary. They considered such a society so attractive that everyone would eventually give up their weapons and property and join. Is this what Buttigieg was thinking of?

Millennials like him weren’t living when the brutal regimes of communism held sway in Eastern Europe. The Victims of Communism Foundation remind us that communists in fact did not give up their weapons. Far from it. Instead, they perpetrated dozens of wars about 100 million murders and dozens of wars during their dismal reign.
